Rain couldn’t drown devotion. BBS Bound 2025 was a pilgrimage for true fans—where passion for wheels helped raise support for aspiring technicians, with a bonus of historic car memorabilia.

Forged in Rain: Inside BBS Bound 2025

BBS wheels have cemented themselves as an icon in almost every corner of the car community. From Ferrari’s Schumacher-era dominance to Le Mans winners, RWB Porsches, Liberty Walk builds, and Magnus Walker’s outlaws, BBS wheels have been stamped onto some of the most iconic chapters in car culture. That history, as well as their popularity in everyday car culture, has kept them as the wheel of choice for many enthusiasts, giving them one of the strongest fan bases for a car part. Something their fans showed in spades when, despite the rain, they showed up in force at the BBS of America headquarters for the BBS Bound 2025 car meet hosted by BBS of America in collaboration with WheelPrice, Auto Haus Social, and The Piston Foundation.

This car meet was a celebration of BBS and its fans, with the North America President of BSS, Craig Donnelly, giving participants a tour of the BBS headquarters. The parking lot was filled with cars of all types sporting BBS wheels, including the staples like classic Porsche 911s, BMWs, and Mercedes, alongside some more unique projects. These standouts included a Recaro Edition VW Scirocco, whose owner, Alberto Garcia, showed a staggering amount of passion. Not only did he create a custom hub just to fit the iconic wheels, but he also drove 40 hours from Mexico just for this event. The other standout was a one-owner 1970 Chevy Nova, bringing in some classic muscle into the mix.

But beyond the showcase, this event also benefited a cause: getting more technicians trained in the art of collector car restoration. We at WheelPrice, BBS, and the Piston Foundation hosted an auction, with the proceeds going back to the foundation. Founded in 2021, the Piston Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on making it easier to enter the collector-car technician business. Many of the current technicians are retiring, and with education for this trade being hard to find and afford, people struggle to turn their passion into a profession. The Foundation’s goal is to fund over 100 new technicians each year, with scholarships, training, and mentorship programs guiding them into the trade.

To support this cause, we selected some sought-after items in the car community for the auction, including sets of BBS F1 wheels, BBS cooling cones, and even race-worn gloves and race shoes of current IndyCar Driver Graham Rahal. Together with other motorsport memorabilia, the auction raised over $10,000 for the Piston Foundation.

The event showcased some of the best aspects of car culture. Fans gathered together in the rain to celebrate and share their enthusiasm for an icon, while young technicians got the opportunity to turn their passion for preserving automotive history into a career.
